Built to Last
Dorman Long launched Nigeria’s first large-scale, state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing facility at our Agege site in Lagos, marking the first of its kind in West Africa. This facility significantly enhances Nigerian Content Development, with an annual galvanizing capacity of 75,000 metric tonnes. It accommodates various steel structures and features a dedicated tower testing bay. The plant’s furnace, equipped with 4 x 195,000 BTU/hr dual fuel burners, adheres to Quality Standards – BS EN ISO 1461:1999 & ASTM A 123.
Showcasing the Plants
Our facility is designed to accommodate large volumes of smaller standard products, including gratings, communication and power transmission tower sections, and highway guard rails. We are also constructing a dedicated, fully automated fabrication plant for these items, located adjacent to the galvanizing facility.
